Yo Gene, what happened to them Eagles in Pittsburgh last night.... I know its only pre-season but I take any chance I can get to trash talk..... Their Receivers have buttery fingers. Good game though. Erie's own Jovon Johnson ran back 88 yards to the house on the fumble.

I wondered why the name Jovon Johnson sounded familiar.

Lesson learned, simply by leaving Erie and coming to Pittsburgh you become a better football player.....

Yo Gene, what happened to them Eagles in Pittsburgh last night.... I know its only pre-season but I take any chance I can get to trash talk..... Too many problems to list: -O-Line couldnt pick up the blitz -WR's droping passes -D-Line over pursuing -LB's non existant on the over the middle passes -DB's-Horrible coverage -Punter Sav Rocca inconsistent. Follows 60+ yd punts with 30 something yarders.
And the list goes on. The only 2 positives of the night were K David Akers and backup QB Kevin Kolb.
I think on the defensive side of the ball the loss of Trotter will hurt them. I believe that was a bad move. Gaither, while younger and quicker is more inexperienced and overpursues on the run. On those over the middle passes i was talking about he was no where to be found........

I think Kolb is a keeper. Cutting Trotter was a bad move, but give the young guy time and he will be a star. The Eagles will have another good year and each and every day I pray to the football Gods for an all PA Superbowl.

Freeze did not attend owners meetings. As a result of that i'd be inclined to think that Erie wont be around, atleast for next season.

This thread should be titled Silence from the Freeze.

Great! Now I'm getting emails thinking Scott and me are buying the team. lol I wish that I had the money. It would be the best fan run team in the league.
........The Freeze, as I was told, were always for sale. If the price was right. If I was a betting man, I'd say we have an 80-20 chance that we will not be playing next year. But, miracles do happen.......................we'll have to wait and see.

I'll buy the team. I'll pay any outstanding debt they owe and then take over the team.
What would anyone be buying? A Yeti costume, some helmets, a truck, and some crappy turf? Really, there's no assests to speak of. I imagine they aren't turning a profit. If someone wanted to own a team in Erie, they're almost better off starting from scratch. There is a franchise fee, but is there a startup fee and then yearly fees? If theres a startup fee, that's the only thing you would save.

So without starting yet another war of leagues thread I was just curious if the Erie faithful on here would still support the team if they did not play in the AIFA and moved to the CIFL. (I only say them becasue no other real options are close by) Joe, I know you said today that the CIFL was a joke as is 7-7 football on J.t.'s show. Just curious how you all felt if that ever happened.
