Anyone hear any word from anyone from the Freeze yet? Other teams (even Johnstown) are already making some noise while the Freeze are being dead quiet like they don't exist anymore.

Well, I guess there is an owners meeting this weekend, interesting to see if anyone from the Freeze (outside of joe) will be there. While Joe & i were both invited to go to the meeting by Mr Morris neither of us will be attending due to outside obligations. Joe is outta vacation days and i am saving mine up for the holidays and next season.........

Is any FAB rep going to go? No. But sometime after the meeting us FAB members are gonna have a live chat w/Mr Morris and we'll pass the info on from that meeting.

Freeze office is "out to lunch"......... Absolutely nothing going on there. And I'm not sure if they are attending the owners meeting. No FAB will be down at the meeting. As Gene stated we were invited to go. But, the list of fan ideas, for changes will be discussed at that meeting. And, I should get replies from them. Will post those when they become available too.

I hope something happens in Fla. or someone steps in and pulls us out of the abyss.
I just keep playing that Powerball.............LOL
It's a shame too, I've got people coming up to me wanting to do some sponsor/promo stuff next year.
The people here want it, I just don't know what the current ownership has in mind at this time...................

I know no one likes league owned teams, but since the Freeze have a fan base maybe the league would be willing to step in if Hodas bows out until a new owner can be found.

I've thought of that also. If current ownership steps away, I'd like to see the league step in and "run" the team. At the same time, they could be seeking out local ownership to take over the team. I believe, that this would be something similar to what they did in Johnstown. The league stepped in and kept the franchise going until proper ownership could be put in place. During this past season we were made aware of interest of locals interested in investing into or pursuing ownership of the Freeze. I know that steps are being taken by persons who want the team to stay in Erie, to contact these locals and see how interested they are. The tale will be told at this weekends owners meetings in Florida. We'll see if and who shows up........ Stay tuned..................... :smileyfreeze:
