And if Rochester wins that game and sticks around the AIFA next year....are they gonna be touted as the champs? If I had to guess, the AIFA will promote (well, say how great they are and how crappy the CIFL is because they got the best on-field team, and then maybe mention the guts of the deal...with 4 or 5 people not sharing the last names Morris or Mink...probably by marriage) the Rochester game as the indoor football championship - so sure, they would. That said, if I'm the other team and am annoyed enough at the AIFA, I'd probably announce my move to the CIFL right at that point. You all have fun with those egos. On the flip side, you will have fun with the Raiders fans, because they are great fans. If any of them are left after Barto's latest idiotic move.

You know...another thing that might not have come up in this discussion is this question.
Who is paying the travel expenses and game checks of the team that has to now play an extra game in Rochester. The league? Because you know..this is THEIR brain child.
If I'm an AIFA owner and am just gonna get through the season and suddenly now I have to play another game...I'm gonna be really pissed if there's no help from the league.
What if it's a team from out west that now has to travel a day or two to get to Rochester? How fair is that game gonna be?
Just to recap....the National Indoor Football Championship will be decided on the home turf of a team that has NOT played a single game in the AIFA yet.
Absolute crap.

This doesn't sound like a good idea and who is gona pay for the team to travel to Rochester what happends if by chance a team from the west wins the championship is the Aifa paying for travel since it's there idea.

How is it that they will only play 3 games then get to host a title game, completely no sense. If they end up going 0-3 in those games they still get that game. Makes no sense. Plus they get to play all 3 of their games at home, that is complete BS for the teams that get forced to travel up their for those games, they want to play in this league for the rest of this season let them travel to somewhere. They will probably make the worst teams play them to so that they don't look bad. If they want to join the league they can wait till next season.

I'd be very surprised if the Mariners are one of the teams since they are league run...god forbid the league have to pay for expenses ;-)
I'll eat crow if the Mariners ARE one of the teams...

It was quoted on OSC that the three teams are Utah, Baltimore and Erie. The first two because the league is involved with them so getting the ok from team owners is not an issue and Erie because we are closest and have a bye the last week of the season. Although nothing official has come out from either league yet so lets wait and see. We can always burn the witch later.

I don't know any team that would want to go up there and play for no reason, even teams that aren't in the plaoffs. No team is going to want to pay the expenses to travel up there. What would be funny is that all the teams put the money together to send the best teams up there to beat them and show everyone how BS this is.

Why would Erie want to give Rochester good game film when there's a solid shot Erie MIGHT have to play Rochester for a championship.
