FYI, I should have the schedule from week 14 to the 17th week update for the scoreboard. I've been work 11 hour days, so not much time to do anything.
Also an idea for next year, scoring updates sent to cell phone as a text message. Real simple to do as far as emailing to a person. What do you guys think?

I like the idea of receiving score updates via text too.

Through Verizon, I have the web browser on my Razr. The service is an additional $5 a month. What's cool is that the password authentication I just added does work through the phone. Very simple. I'll have to write up some instructions. The text message idea is just thinking outside the box. The Fanclubs could use this idea as well. When a member renews or signs up for their respective fanclub, we could ask if they would want to be alerted of upcoming events that involve the team (Meet and greets, Autograph sessions, etc.). The main thing is getting their consent to send them messages. I found a really cool site that explains how you can send an email to the major cell phone providers. www.sms411.net/2006/07/how-to-send-email-to-phone.htmlIt wouldn't be very hard to create an email account and create a userlist to burst email messages. This technology has been around for years, but is hardly ever looked at.

Made some minor changes,
The dropdown that allows you to go back to view past weeks now defaults to the current week.
Also when the scoreboard starts up, it has a loading page before it shows the scores.

Big changes are afoot with the live scoring. I have been talking to the CIFL and IFL about joining in the live scoring fun. They are very interested.
The scoreboard will allow fans to view any league at any time by selecting a link at the top of the scoreboard. This will be a huge step forward for indoor football in general.

I have asked the Cav's about doing a live internet radio feed that I thought would be inexpensive and a very cool thing for the fans but have heard nothing back and I have emailed them twice. I would think this would be in the leagues best interest to do things like this. You can still sell advertising and not only have a live feed but replay it thruout the week as well. You could also do team interviews and guest announcers as well. I hope they get back to me because I think it would be a big benefit for the whole league if they were to do it.

Felt like tooting my horn... Now users can view games from multiple leagues. I have been talking with the Indoor Football Fan website. They are going to use the scoreboard to keep track of the UIF, CPFL, APFL and IIFA. But now I'm finally working on the admin side of this application. More to come...

I haven't made any update about the scoreboard for quite a while. I have completely redone the scoreboard. I've gotten away from using flash since my knowledge is limited. This scoreboard could manage a 1000 team league if needed Though I'd hate to see the playoff structure for that league.... The scoreboard is on the main page of aifafans.com and in the chat room. Give me any suggestions.
