Rich, If you want to talk about the Otters so much, then why don't you try to find an OHL chat room and go in there. Then you can sit in there and cut up the Freeze and the AIFA!!!  There's NO ICE in HERE!!!  WE PLAY ON TURF!!! This is INDOOR WAR... Not KIDS that can't score (At least NOT on the ICE) I thought you followed Dinkins and Haines down to Belle Vernon with the RiverRats... If you need directions I'll gladly give them to you!!! Yeah. I drive three hours out of my way and went to the Canton game just because I hate the team. I guess that's why I helped form the fan club too. That's why I put my own money into things like making magnets, keychains and displays to promote the team.
Sorry, I have a life and can't get to ALL of the games -- and I actually have to pay for all of my tickets. I guess that DOES make me a bad fan.
What I was saying is that it has been three years and this league is still no better at communication and promotions and it wouldn't be all that hard to improve but the only ones who really seem to care about getting info out are the fans -- which is NOT the way to run things.
As for being a Riverrats fans... No. Belle Vernon isn't Pittsburgh (where I live 5 days out of the week) plus Dinkins and Andy are enough to make me NOT want to be a fan. The rest of the time, when I'm in Erie, I'm supporting ALL of its teams.
Is it so atrocious of me to want to the team and the league to get things right that they have gotten wrong for three years now?

Before this thread gets out of hand. I will reply once to this. I work 48+ hours a week in a union machine shop. And was elected union stewart. Besides the fanclub stuff we are doing. And this messageboard.
And we pay for our season tickets. The $25 dollar seats, I might add. We do not get kickbacks.

Fantastic work on the scoring updates guys. The scoreboard page worked great for me.  I wish the league was as concerned about getting this info out as its fans are (since they haven't even posted the Legends/Freeze score, let alone tonight's game). Just for reference of how a real league works, the Erie Otters lost badly again tonight (no surprise there) but there's already a story about it on their webpage and at 10:05 (pretty much right after the game!) they sent me a text message alert about it -- and reminded me that they are going to be getting trounced at home again tomorrow when they play the London Knights. Oh yeah, and they had the game on the radio, streaming audio, and live television for free. I agree and if I wasn't out spending time with my friends from Erie, the Legends site would have been updated just as quickly. |

How about giving the new leagues' front office a chance this IS their first year, not their third.
It's not AHs' league anymore....
And trust me we've shelled out more than our fair share of funds to make the EFFC as successful as it is and will be it the future....
And if it wasn't for James H. Cross Company paying for the Otters live webcasts and webstream you wouldn't have those immediate updates on their site.
As I said before this isn't an Otters forum, but if you knew what the Otters do behind the scenes and the demands that they make of their sponsors you'd have a much different view of them. And trust me I know. I was a Blades, Panthers and Otters Season ticket holder, I traveled to road games, supported the team and then I found out what they're REALLY about. I know people that were in the organization, sponsors, fans, and host families. If you knew what they do down there you might rethink they're loyalty to them. If you want the story ask me sometime, I'll be glad to tell you.

Ok new feature with the live scoreboard. I added a refresh button, so if the status is offline you can restart the timer. Not a major feature but one that'll allow users to remain in the chat room without having to refresh via the browser. Enjoy!

Changed the scoreboard, but this time I make it look pretty... Just added boxes behind each game score. Helps break it up a bit.

Yet again made some more changes to the evolving scoreboard... Added a feature to go back to look at past games. Only issue with this is that I do not have all the weeks entered yet (Only up to week twelve). If you're looking at the history and want to jump back to the current games, all you have to do is click the refresh button on the lower left hand side of the scoreboard. Enjoy!
