Oh, and Jeff (tidegm), I do not want you to think I am being aggressive or spiteful in any way to you or the Chesapeake Tide. I respect you and your team a great deal. I plan to see a few of the Tide games. I just get overly protective at times. Do not take my inane ramblings personally. I get a bit fanatic at times (as you can see). That being said, if the Blackbirds and the Tide ever get to scrimmage at the SportsPlex training facility, I hope the Blackbirds mop the turf with your guys! EDIT: (mop turf? is that possible?)

Dave, lets get this set up! I think a game between the two teams would be great for both teams and both cities. Hopefully if/when both teams are successful over the next few years, what a great rivalry game that would be! Alternate arenas/rules each year... Play the game as an end of the season event. We gotta be able to work this one out! Looking forward to meeting you at either one of our Tide games or at your arena.

I will run it up the flagpole and see who salutes. Even though they are different leagues, I believe the rules are virtually the same sans the number of players on the field.

For sh!ts 'n giggles, I checked the Express' schedule now with the new roadie to Baltimore...
5/19/2007 @ Huntington Heroes 5/21/2007 @baltimore Blackbirds
Is this a typo or are the Express playing two road games in three days?

Bad move by the league. 2 home games would of been bad enough. They should be spotted a TD or something.

Just another casualty of league . I feel for the Express. No time for recovery. There is no reason Baltimore should lose to them now. Muwahahahahahahahaha! In all seriousness, that is a raw deal though. Fatigue can lead to injuries. Although I am thrilled that Baltimore has more home games, I find it unfair that it has to be at the expense of another teams welfare. Growing pains of the league though. Hopefully next season will bring more stability to scheduling. GO BLACKBIRDS!

This type of went on last year too. If I remember correctly the Legends played something like 3 games in ten days.

I just keep saying... hopefully things will settle down. The league is rushing to grow. These things happen; unfortunatey. If the league can maintain the current team line-up until next season, things should look much better.

3 games in 9 days... and won them all.
Paid for it though by losing 3 of our next 4 before pulling out of the nosedive...
And the Huntington trip is 10 hours each way for the Express... at least Baltimore isn't that far.

Glad I found that shenanigans emoticon.
It is messed up, as this is what I hate about leagues. Scheduling games too close together, not playing full schedules, teams being underfunded. Forced scheduling simply to make the league 'symetrical'....

Tatonka, Google Maps has the total driving time between Huntington and Reading at 7 hours 22 minutes.

I haven't driven it myself... I was just repeating what someone said earlier.
I think they had weather problems though that made it 10 hours, not sure.
