Legends put nightmare year behind themFriday, February 23, 2007 By Todd Porter - REPOSITORY SPORTS WRITER CANTON Winning the league title last year gave Canton Legends Head Coach Bobby Olive a certain amount of mileage. Just not with Chris Spielman. The former Ohio State All-American linebacker and Massillon football star attended Canton's game against Reading last season. It was Buckeye night, and Olive, a former Buckeye player, wanted to put on a show for fellow Ohio State teammates and alumni. Canton lost to Reading, 56-18. Never mind the Legends went on to win it all. All Olive hears from Spielman is about that night in April. Canton later beat Reading to get to the American Bowl and win the championship. Spielman, Vinny Carter, Dee Miller and Jeff Graham will sign autographs tonight before Canton's game against Pittsburgh at Memorial Civic Center. Then Olive hopes to take care of business on the field against the winless River Rats. www.cantonrep.com/index.php?Category=17&ID=337959&r=18&subCategoryID=
