I'll second that. I'm still on dial-up at home and the video (which is way too similar to the boring old Freeze commercial IMO) really slows things down. Maybe make a "Multimedia" section of the main AIFAFANS site where you can put it and things like the various slideshows too.

I do agree that the myspace slideshow does slow the page loading down a bit. In the meantime i removed the commercial to the AIFA Weekly Kickoff forum till we decide where to put it. |

Mike, if I could get it, I would have it. That's one of the tradeoffs of living in the sticks. No DSL, cable, or cell service at my house. Satellite is too expensive (and unrealiable). I had DSL since 1999 (free ta boot) when I lived in Erie. I know, I was kidding around (JK = Just Kidding  ). I have a friend who lives in McKean and he used dial up for a very long time. He just managed to switch to cable. |

Back on topic... I have to agree, that with the other "main" site now up, I think all the MySpace slideshows and other embedded multimedia stuff should be relocated to that site. I'm on cable and this board is still a pain in the arse sometimes having to load all this extra stuff.

People also have to consider that this is on proboards servers, not our own. Our board is on the same server as several other, maybe thousands, of other boards. Its the nature of the beast when you have the "free" message boards. But i agree, the loading times can and will be be improved. |
