www.sj-r.com/Sports/stories/13766.aspEx-Stallion faces more charges Published Wednesday, August 08, 2007 Former Springfield Stallions quarterback Derrick DeBoef was recently charged with 32 additional accounts of criminal sexual conduct stemming from an incident last month in Spring Valley, Minn. The 26-year-old DeBoef, a native of Sherrard, was charged in Fillmore (Minn.) County District Court in March with four felony counts from an alleged involvement with a minor female who sought counseling from him in his position as a youth pastor at Christian Valley Christian Center in Spring Valley. The new complaint alleges that DeBoef had contact with the same victim in mid-summer of last year at several different locations, including the church offices and a church camp. DeBoef joined the Stallions in late May and played in three games. The Stallions finished 0-12 in the inaugural year in the Continental Indoor Football League. His best game came in a 76-41 loss on June 3 against the Chicago Slaughter when he completed 18 of 31 attempts for 173 yards and four TD passes. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for next week on the four original felony charges with an Oct. 8 trial date. According to a report in the Fillmore County Journal in Preston, Minn., DeBoef has pled not guilty to the original charges and was released on $3,000 bail.
