The SAME NIFL LEAGUE that finished with 4 teams??? This is a crock---we would work them and they know it--------They cannot hang with us on ANY FIELD---no matter the place---no matter what league----if they could afford to move up into a real growing league instead of a collapsing one----we would have no problemo beating them-------its wishful thinking and complete garbage for them to even suggest a ame between the 2 team ESPECIALLY since we arent in the same leagues----why didnt the FLORIDA GATORS play the INDIANAPOLIS COLTS for bragging rights after each team won their respective championships-----because everyone knows what would happen---and this is why lakeland will not play fayetville in and interleague game for "bragging rights"-------not going to happen!! they are idiots!! I may be rambling on now but i hope everyone gets my point------i saw you left a comment about this on our myspace and i responded to you tbolts40 and i thank you.............. but for the rest of you---its not going to happen!!!! Thier idea to play us is utter ----and i finally got to use a sign!

well for one-----they havent won the championship yet they still have to beat wyoming in the championship game (which the 2 teams scheduled themselves)-----but fayetville wanted out of that league BAD! and they were" kicked" out-----but they went on to try and find a new league-----we shall see what happens but i dunno what he means by "defunk" or whatever the word was!

Again, nothing to base this on, but ...
We all know the rumors about Wyoming and the AIFA. There have also been rumors regarding Fayetteville joining.
Hmmmmm. Makes one wonder, doesn't it?

The game between the Guard and the Bolts was discussed before the Guard was officially announced into the AIFA. Saturday night at the Guard-Cav game an official told me that it would most likely not take place this year since both are respective league champions and it will make for a much anticipated game or games for next season in the AIFA. Hopefully the AIFA will continue to ge stronger each season with careful expansion like the addition of the Guard.

That's the saddest part about the NIFL this year. Wyoming, San Diego, and Fayetteville are all good enough to compete in any league.

Fayetteville is a good team. Thunderbolts might not want to be so confident. If this game is to happen it should be the first game of the 2008 season in Fayetteville. This would get the excitement of indoor football built back up in that city. It would be a fitting inaugural game for the Guard in the AIFA and for the League in that city. If the AIFA knows what's good for them they should use this rivalry to their advantage. The hype is already building. AIFA needs to use this to their advantage. This would be the perfect way to start next year off.
