Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm are returning to the Indoor Football League United Bowl for the second straight year after defeating the Green Bay Blizzard 61-42 at the Sioux Falls Arena on Saturday night. The Storm's offense was paced by Clinton Solomon, who finished the game with five catches for 100 yards and three touchdowns, and IFL MVP Chris Dixon, who was 14 of 20 for 231 yards and three touchdowns in the air. Dixon also rushed for 45 yards and two scores. First-team All-IFL wideout Carl Sims finished with five catches for 83 yards and one score. Defensively, Stewart Franks led the team with 11 tackles (six solo), but Xavier Jordan provided the play of the game with an interception that he returned ten yards for a touchdown with 1:24 to go in the third quarter. Jordan finished with 7 tackles (three solo) and two pass breakups as well. Green Bay's LaRon Council was held to 83 yards and two scores on 24 rushes. Blizzard quarterback Donovan Porterie was 12 of 22 for 165 yards with a touchdown and one interception. He also rushed for 18 yards and one score. Green Bay's defense was led by Aaron Moore, Greg Jackson and Kenneth Viser. Each had five tackles in the game, while Curtis Thomas had four tackles and a fumble recovery. The Storm will face the Tri-Cities Fever in the 2012 United Bowl on July 14 at 7:05 p.m. in Sioux Falls.
