Green Bay, WI, 6/23/12 – The Bloomington Edge, presented by Heller Stores, ended their season with a 51-30 playoff loss at the Green Bay Blizzard Saturday night. It was the third loss to Green Bay this season. The Edge went 10-4 in the regular season and lost their only playoff game tonight. Dusty Burk completed 16 of 37 pass attempts and threw for 120 yards with 3 touchdown passes. John Cooper had 31 receiving yards with a touchdown reception. Ricardo Lenhart caught 2 touchdown passes and had 27 receiving yards. Andre Raymond rushed for 33 yards with no touchdowns. Green Bay quarterback Donovan Porterie rushed for 3 touchdowns and threw 2 touchdown passes. LaRon Council also rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown.

The Edge came back with a 24 yard field goal but the Blizzard scored another touchdown on the next drive. This time they passed into the endzone but missed the extra point. Before the quarter ended, Dusty Burk threw to John Cooper to give the Edge their first touchdown of the night. Green Bay led 13-10 after the 1st quarter.
The Blizzard started the 2nd quarter with another quarterback keeper for a touchdown. After a long drive, the Edge did not reach the endzone but Pete Christofilakos hit an impressive 44 yard field goal to keep it close. Green Bay kicked a field goal on their next drive. Bloomington again failed to get in the endzone and then they missed a 43 yard field goal attempt. At the end of the half the Edge attempted a field goal but it was waived off because the ball hit a light above the goal posts. The Blizzard led 23-13 at halftime.
The Edge kicked off the 3rd quarter with a touchdown pass to Ricardo Lenhart. The Blizzard got their third quarterback keeper touchdown of the game on the following drive. Green Bay got the ball back by holding the Edge offense and threw for another touchdown to open up their lead. Entering the final quarter the Edge trailed 37-20.

The Blizzard missed a 31 yard field goal which led to Dusty Burk hitting Ricardo Lenhart with a touchdown pass to bring the Edge within seven points. LaRon Council rushed into the endzone for a touchdown on a big 3rd down to put the Blizzard up by 14 points with just over a minute to go. The Blizzard intercepted a last ditch effort by the Edge and ran it back for another touchdown to ice the game and Bloomington’s season. Bloomington is now 0-4 all-time in the IFL playoffs.
