December 27, 2011 - Indoor Football League (IFL) Lehigh Valley Steelhawks Bethlehem, PA: The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks are proud to announce that a member of last year's team now has a contract with the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. Anthony Amoo, a 6'2, 285lb lineman out of the University of Houston, recently signed his contract for the 2012 season with the Soul. Amoo was a versatile lineman for the Steelhawks playing on both sides of the ball. Before having his season cut short by an unfortunate injury, Amoo tallied 7 tackles in 4 games. Prior to his time with the Steelhawks, Amoo played with the Reading Express and San Antonio Warriors. He also spent time with the Abilene Ruff Riders, the Austin Gamebreakers, the Kileen Knights, and USA Eagles. In 2009, he received the National Minor Football League's Top 25 Defensive Players award, and was an All-Star selection in the 2009-2010 season. The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks last open tryout before the start of the 2012 season is on January 21st at BucksMont Indoor Sports Complex.
