December 15, 2011 - American Indoor Football (AIF) Harrisburg Stampede
HARRISBURG, PA (December 14, 2011) - Harrisburg Stampede's General Manager and Head Coach, Bernie Nowotarski announced today that Offensive Linemen Adam Cobb has signed a Stampede contract for the 2012 Season.
Adam is another local talent that the Stampede found at their first open try out conducted in late November. In early January, the Stampede will hold its second open work out in Temple Pa. Adam is a player for us that lives in nearby Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Adam is also another of our players that in his full time work devotes his time to the youth of the community. He works at the Phoenix Academy and has also coached at Penn Manor High School.
We are always excited to get a PSAC player. They are well coached and they also have a great understanding of the game and what it takes to be team player and they have an outstanding work ethic. At Millersville, Adam had a stellar career. He was a 2 time All-PSAC East First Team choice. He was selected and played in the East Coast All-Star Bowl. He was named to several Regional and Super Regional All-League Teams, including the Football Gazette and Daktronics teams. Adam was voted as Millersville's Offensive MVP his senior year as well he was one of their Team Captains.
At 6'6" and 285lbs, we saw the foot work and hand speed that gives an O-Linemen the ability to be a solid impact player, in the AIF. Adding to his technique skill set is a great deal of strength and outstanding reach ability. OC Ken Miller is pleased with the current shape that the Stampede Offense is taking and is counting on a great season from A.Cobb.
Just a Reminder: Stampede Open-Try Out Saturday January 7, 2012 at Gameface International Sports Complex in Temple Pa., Registration starts at 9pm and Work-Out is from 10pm - 12:30am
