The Saginaw Sting will start the 2012 season on a three-game homestand beginning with a March 18 opener against Chicago, according to the Continental Indoor Football League schedule, released Sunday.
The Sting will play 10 games in the six-team CIFL, including six at The Dow Event Center.
"The Saginaw Sting are very excited about the level of competition that has joined the CIFL," Sting co-owner Rob Licht said in a statement. We look forward to defending our previous championships and working together with other teams in our league to establish the CIFL's presence in the Midwest Region."
Saginaw left the UIFL last month and joined the CIFL. The Sting won the CIFL in 2008 and the UIFL in 2011.
