Danville is finally getting another indoor team. It is part of the UIFL. Anyone have any information on this league? I am freaking ecstatic.

UIFL info....hehe
The team with the best regular season record (Northern Kentucky River Monsters) was found cheating the salary cap. The punishment of the league was to move them to the 4 seed instead of the 1 seed but still let them use the players in the playoffs. Make sense? I didn't think so. The league and the River Monsters have already agreed to part ways for next year.
2nd place regular season team (Saginaw Sting) used illegal players after week 11, and were behind on payroll. Their starting QB, one of the players not being paid, left the team.
Two of the teams have already changed ownership before the end of the UIFL season. Canton was sold to one of the Johnstown owners, who sold the Generals to a guy from Kentucky.
The league CEO who sold Canton now owns a new team in Florida.
A new team was put into Rome Georgia calling themselves the Rome River Dogs, but recently held a second press conference to rename themselves the Rome Rampage.
Budgets across the league were bare bones. Not a lot of money put into promotions or anything.
The owners of the UIFL already announced and then cancelled a baseball league before it started. They called it the Ultimate Baseball League.
There's really nothing Ultimate about this league although I think they did a decent job in their first season. Need to tweak stuff for year two though.

Not the info I was hoping to hear. Sounds like the same financial problems that we had when the Demolition was here. I am still going to have positive thoughts about it, hopefully.

IMO, overall the UIFL did well. Like all indoor football leagues, finances are always an issue and there are always other problems. Danville will do well if the league gets other expansions close by and they have financially stable owners who know how to run a team.
