To all of my friends here (and That Radio Guy),
I, being a Mariners fan have been fairly quiet leading up to the conference championship (and hopefully beyond). Call it cautious optimism if you want. But if the Mariners win it all, I will become this boards biggest di*khead.
Have a great weekend everyone! and GO MARINERS!

You're already the board's biggest dickhead ;-)
Just kidding man. I don't ever take smack talk seriously on a message board. It's all part of the fun of sports. If my team went undefeated and won a championship I'd be pretty happy about it.
Of course I'd also realize this is only minor league sports, and isn't as much of an accomplishment as say, winning 6 Super Bowl Titles and being one of the most successful franchises in NFL history, ala my Pittsburgh Steelers. How many NFL titles does Baltimore have? :-)

Baltimore has 5 NFL titles (1958, 1959, 1969, 1970, and 2000) + 1 CFL and 1 USFL title -- so I think we win!

5 is still less than 6. Surely the Maryland education system teaches simple basic math.

And lets not be silly. The Steelers have been around a lot longer than the Ravens. I am not going to take anything away from the Steelers, even though I despise them with every fiber of my being. They are a great team with great ownership and a rich history of winning. That being said, it is going to be very difficult to stop the Ravens this year (at least on paper). We all know that things can change quickly as the season goes on.

The Ravens have been around long enough to win more than one title.
Also I hope you guys are ready for some of the trashtalking from board members should you guys suffer an upset.

5 is still less than 6. Surely the Maryland education system teaches simple basic math. Here I'll show off my fine math skills learned in the Maryland educational system. Let's level the playing field. Pittsburgh has won 6 titles in 75 seasons. Baltimore has won 5 titles in 45 seasons (Colts and Ravens). Baltimore has won a title every 9 seasons, Pittsburgh one every 12.5 seasons. So, you see Baltimore wins again!

My oh my, where do I begin? I have been on this message board since 2007 when I discovered The Baltimore Blackbirds and the AIFA. Since 2007, I have had to hear all of the jokes about how Baltimore is no good and will always be second fiddle to other teams like Reading, Erie, Danville, Fayetteville, Florence, Johnstown, Montgomery, Lakeland, Mississippi, Tallahassee, and Augusta. I have heard all the ridicule about my team being a pathetic league owned team, and the endless jokes about how terrible of a coach Chris Simpson is.
It is now 2010, and my Baltimore Mariners have accomplished the impossible. They won a National championship. As much as I would love to rub everyone's disgusted, miserable, inbred loser faces in it, am going to take the moral high ground. And simply say YOU CAN ALL SUCK ON MY C**K AND DUE TO A GENETIC BIRTH DEFECT... ALL THREE OF MY TESTICLES! The Baltimore Mariners are the greatest team in the AIFA! Hell, they are the best team in all of the leagues combined, INCLUDING THE NFL!
When you attended a Mariners game this season, and you witnessed all of that awesomeness, you had better have been wearing a condom, because what you witnessed undoubtedly made you J*ZZ right in your pants, even the women! It was like being fuc*ed in the eyeballs by the Awesome Fairy! The Mariners destroyed every team they faced. No one stood a chance at conquering Mount Mariner. Oh sure, that game against Erie...IN ERIE may come up, but the only reason Erie came close to winning is because they paid the refs off! But it didn't matter! I hope that money was well spent, you coal mining, black lung having, inbred, hillbilly, banjo playing, corncob pipe smoking, overall wearing, sister-fuc*ing, illiterate, GED having, slack-jawed John Deere driving, tractor-pull watching, country-fried bucket of chicken eating, Hee-Haw watching lousy fuc*s!
Suck on it AIFAFans! Baltimore Mariners are the greatest. They are better than the greatest, they are really good! Baltimore now has championship titles in the AIFA, NFL, USFL, CFL and some football leagues that haven't even been fuc*ing invented yet! Try to diminish this accomplishment! It won't work. There will never be another team in the AIFA this season to accomplish what the Mariners have accomplished! Baltimore has outscored, out-played, out-classed, every single other team in the AIFA Indoor Football League Association Organization LLC! If you don't believe me, just look at the numbers. Numbers don't lie! The proof is in the pudding, which I unfortunately can not enjoy due to an extreme case of lactose intolerance. I can enjoy pudding if it is made with Lactaid brand milk. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to sit back and “enjoy” a sorbet or “sherbet” while everyone else is eating delicious ice-cream cake? IT SUCKS! Nobody “enjoys” sherbet! None of this changes the fact that tonight, when I crawl into bed and look at the poster of the Baltimore Mariners hanging on my wall, I will be looking not just at the Baltimore Mariners, but the 2010 AIFA Champions Mighty Mariners of Charm City!
I would love to sit around and chit-chat about the intricacies of indoor football, but I am so done with you f*ck-sticks. I have better things to do with my time, like sit around and count all of the championships the city of Baltimore has, not just in football, but baseball, basketball, indoor soccer, and our State's national sport... JOUSTING! Maryland is a state of winners. This site is a state of whiners! I am deleting my account after tonight, but I will secretly check out the responses, and possibly create a new secret account to continue telling all of you how awesome I am and the Mariners are.

You know I gotta give you kudos DJ....this is a very amusing post.
Well deserved up until the point where you try to say this is a better team than an nfl team.
Oh and don't tell me you're really going to delete your account now when it's the greatest time to be a Baltimore fan.
And please don't even try to say the refs were biased up in Erie. They even tried like hell to give you guys the ball after Erie blocked a FG. Your O just ran into a good defense that day and our O didn't turn the ball over much if at all.
Just enjoy the win and the championship.

ummm.... if you remember the blocked field goal in Erie the officials blew the call because the player who ran into the kicker was not the player who touched the ball.... it should have been roughing the kicker, the officials blew the f**king call!!! It even on the officials training site at the time www.aifa.blip.com which has been taken down for the season. So get your facts straigh before you speak!

Even still he claimed the Erie refs were on the take, when I can tell you at all 7 Erie Home games this year it almost seemed like the refs went out of their way to give the away team the benefit of the doubt any time it was close. That's why two Erie refs were originally selected to be part of the Championship Game crew.
