Way to alienate NJ fans... Trenton Steel Hosting Harrisburg Stampede Vs. New Jersey Revolution TRENTON, NJ (March 15, 2010) - The American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) recently awarded a new expansion franchise for Trenton, New Jersey. The franchise, to be known as the Trenton Steel, will begin play in 2011. To help introduce the AIFA to Trenton, the Revolution will play its regular season home game with the Harrisburg Stampede at the Sun National Bank Center. The date for the game is Saturday, June 12th. The New Jersey Revolution joined the AIFA for the 2010 season, and will be one of the Steel's biggest rivalries. "With so many league franchises nearby, the rivalries will be fantastic," said AIFA co-founder John Morris. According to Morris, "Trenton is a perfect fit for the AIFA...the marketplace, the building...everything, the Sun National Bank Center, is a state-of-the-art arena that seats approximately 7,500 fans for indoor football. The building boasts luxury suites and an in-house television production facility, and we're excited that the first AIFA game at the Sun National Bank Center will be televised nationally." Tickets are on sale now for the June 12th game. Tickets prices are $21 for the first 5 rows of seats and $11 for the rest of the arena. Tickets are available at the Sun National Bank Center Box Office, by phone at 800-298-4200 or online at www.comcastTIX.com. Season tickets for the Trenton Steel are also on sale now for as low as $80.00, which includes the game on June 12th. The Steel also has a Family Four Pack available, which includes 4 tickets, 4 sodas, 4 hot dogs, and 4 bags of chips, for the low price of $52.00. The Revs traditionlly only had 6 home dates (since they're a CIFL team), and as they're almost always willing to help the league out with how they move around, this was a pretty logical fit for them.

They played a bit better against Richmond, but when talent's not there, it's not there.
Merritt's clearly their best QB, though. He gives them a little tiny shot to win.

Okay so I have to assume that you guys who continue to say the Revs stink and have no talent must be actually watching the games right? Bc that would just be ingnorant to say if you weren't. So I guess you have also saw that the kicker missed 2 fgs and 3 pat's. You must also know that their starting qb was knocked out for the yr in game 1. So they lose by 13 which could have been 4 if kicks are made and who knows if QB1 is in. They also aren't playing any slouches either in case you guys missed the memo Balt just threw a far worse beating on Fayetteville and Richmond who only a few weeks back were being praised for beating the leAgue all stars. I myself did get to see the tape of the game and again I'm very high on some of their db's and the receivers continue to impress. Seasons long and I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet. Please chime in guys but be sure your taking sensibly and watching these guys before you go so hard to be negativetowards them

revit, relax. This is the AIFAFans way. The new teams that do not make it to the playoffs in their first season get dumped on, especially when they are in the same division/conference as those talking sh*t. It took a while for Baltimore to be taken as a serious threat. Baltimore had a team for one season prior to the Mariners, called the Blackbirds. They opened their innaugural season losing to the Express, 78-6 (or something like that). I am pretty certain that those six points were a gift from the Express. The Blackbirds won only one game in their one and done season, and they rightfully got blasted on here. The following year, the League placed a new team in Baltimore and they too were crapped on mercilessly. The Mariners went an embarrassing 4-10 in their first season. Last season, they went to the playoffs, losing in the first round to Reading. This year, who knows what will happen, but the Mariners are playing good ball. They had a tough win against Harrisburg, a blowout win against your Revs, and an even more devastating blowout/shutout against the guard. Am I expecting the Mariners to go undefeated this season? Not at all. Reading, Harrisburg, and Erie are proven tough teams and there is plenty of season left. You and your team will have to take their lumps. If the Revs are here in the AIFA for next season, and they can string some wins together and earn their respect, then they will be treated by the division rivals with respect.
Reading and Baltimore despise each other, but there is a respect there. Because both teams are proven winners and competitive. Give it time Revit. Hopefully next season, or later this season, you too can join in the drubbing of inferior teams. Until then GO MARINERS! REVOLUTION SUCKS!

Its all good revit. At the end of the day i have a championship ring. If the express tank this year i wont lose a second of sleep. As far as our 1 win this season thats about only 2 wins shy of what you guys average in a FULL season. ;D

Now Gene dont get sensitive. These kids havent even played a full season in this league yet so only time will tell how many wins they average. Plus you been telling everyone how bad NJ stinks so youd lose an awful lot of credability if you only won a few games mor ethen them this year no?

Fair enough, if we're basing it on records yes so far we stink, lets agree to disagree and just say all teams with losing records 2 weeks into the season stink ok? haha

At this point the Express do stink. Now that they have their practice issues fixed hopefully things will improve. Looking forward to dismantling you guys in a few weeks

The Revs fall to 4-32 in games in competitive leagues with the Richmond loss.
Sorry, it has nothing to do with the new league here.
