Trio Of Express Players Sign
Reading Express GM/Head Coach Bernie Nowotarski announced today that he has signed three more players from 2009 AIFA Championship Team.
Three players from last years Championship squad have re-signed with The Express for the up-coming 2010 season. Linebacker and former Kutztown University Grad Matt Millard. Offensive Linemen and former Indiana University Grad, Will Keglar and Express All-Purpose Iron-Man and former Lebanon Valley Grad Dan Kelly.
“Matty played this past season at our Jack; he fought off some nagging injuries and also had a CFL look during the season. By Play-offs Matty was healthy and was a big part of our Defensive success through to the Championship. Big Will stepped in on only two practices and played in our final regular season game against Harrisburg. When Chris Nunn wasn’t able to go due to an injured ankle for the Championship game, Will again stepped in and did the job at left guard against The Cavalry. Dan Kelly is our Iron-Man, he is our back-up QB, he plays WR, and he is our back-up Kicker if we needed one. He played on every special team as well as taking reps during the week at DB, just incase we needed him to step in on defense. His knowledge of the game and the ability to play multiple positions was invaluable to us all season long,” commented Nowotarski. Having signed these guys is another step at building a strong competitive team for the 2010 season.
