Just for the hell of it. I wanted to pick out some of the top things that I've seen through this regular season. And rate the best. feel free to add, this is from my personal experiences.
TOP TEAMS
1. Reading: The way they treat their players, fans and opponents is the best in the league, by far.
2. Tallahassee: The free webcasting of the games for everyone was the best idea. Very classy org, the D.O.R sat and talked with us about ideas for 1/2 hr.
3. Pittsburgh: Very classy org. Made everyone feel comfortable in every aspect. Not afraid to give shout outs on the PA system involving opponents.
BEST COACHING
1. Reading: Knows how to treat their players. And their opponents.
2. Erie: Stuck with his team, even those they had a 1-13 record.
3. Canton: Not afraid to bench or get rid of problem players. No matter how good they are.
Honorable mention: Pittsburgh: taking a new team into playoffs. Despite a QB with larger then Elvis ego.
BEST OWNERS
1. Pittsburgh: Most down to earth owner that I've met. He knows what it takes to be an owner in the AIFA.
2. Canton: Definatelty a fan favorite. Mingles with the fans. Gets involved on the mic before each game.
3. Huntington: Always looking for fan input. Even from opponent fans. Needs to work on coaching staff tho.
BEST REFS
1. Johnstown: Actually knows the rules. Saw them take charge of a game that fighting could have gotten way out of hand
2. Erie: Explained calls that were made in detail. Fan friendly. Gotta love it when one looks like Jerry Springer.
3. Pittsburgh: The only crew that runs the 1:00 clock different then everyone else. You could actually score a minimum of 4 TDs in this alloted time without using a timeout.
BEST DANCE TEAM
1. Reading: Most in sync and hard to pull off dances. Multiple costume changes. And they have a calender.
2. Tallahassee: Thirty dancers and thirty cheerleaders. The push-ups after very score is cool. And they have a calender.
3. Erie: Probably the best looking girls in the league. Needs better routines. And needs a calender instead of a poster.
Honorable mention: Johnstown: an actual cheerleading squad, not a dance team.
BEST ARENA
1. Reading: Very nice arena, and nice turf.
2. Huntington: A major step up from last years arena. And quality turf.
3. Carolina: Newer arena, but in the boonies. Nice turf.
Honorable mention: Danville: only team with a goal post in one endzone. Peoria Pirates turf in near mint condition.
BEST FANS AND FANCLUB
1. Erie: Stuck behind a team even when it was losing. Family, friends, and fans making long away trips to see them play.
2. Reading: Alot of diehard fans that stuck with them thru trying times.
3. Canton: Best when it comes to signs. And a rowdy bunch when they want to be.
