Nunn out with ankle injury
The Reading Express will be missing its biggest player for its biggest game in two years.
Offensive lineman Chris Nunn, listed at 6-10, 360 pounds, injured his ankle in Reading's 60-51 win over Columbus in the Eastern Conference championship game July 13.
After starting in all 14 regular season games and two playoff games, Nunn will miss the American Indoor Football Association Championship game Sunday when the Express plays the Wyoming Cavarly in the Casper Events Center.
Nunn, in his second year with the Express, will be replaced by Will Keglar, a 6-8, 380-pounder out of Indiana University. Keglar was added to the Express roster late in the season and played in the regular season finale at Harrisburg June 27.
"We're confident he's going to be fine," Express coach/general manager Bernie Nowotarski said. "He's 6-8, 380 pounds. He played in the Big Ten."
