www.myspace.com/heroesfootball is the myspace I created. Please visit and add us if you would. Is every AIFA team thats on myspace a friend of the AIFA fans site? Maybe the teams should be top friends on the site and not people? Just a thought All the teams that we know have a myspace site are on the top friends list. Things are fine as is.

You might have to change the name but the URL isnt changeable, unless of course the Freeze come back then in that case its a mute point.

That's the plan Gene. I'm only keeping it until I have something else to change it to.
I felt it would be the waste of resources to create a new myspace page and ask everyone on the current site to be friends on a new page if it's only going to be for the short term. That's why I felt that just changing the page name and not the URL for now was the best decision.
But trust me as soon as something new comes along a brand new page will be created.
I do plan on keeping the site up as a tribute to the 3 seasons the we did experience. A lot of great things came from my being a part of the Erie Freeze Family and I don't believe that we should ever forget that.
And I look forward to the next chapter of Indoor Football that has yet to arrive.
Here's to a Great 2008 AIFA Season!!!!!

okay, Joe back to the discussion of Fan Clubs... including now defunct, or teams who moved elsewhere, what fan clubs have you started and which ones have you helped get on their feet? Inquiring minds want to know. Also, did you get bussinesses to help you in doing what you do?

Augusta has chosen not to have one however there will be a group of fans who plan to tailgate before games and will travel to several away games if no bus trips are available. There will also be several get togethers planned through out the year of fans.

nice, I bet your tailgates won't be as good as ours though! There were a couple of tailgating groups at the Heroes games last season, usually three groups of people. You can see the group from Heroesfans.com tailgates on YouTube.com/heroesfans though. Usually some people, like Joe, came out to our tailgate and shoot the breeze, so you'll have to do the same with us.

Anyway, we're working on an official tailgate party before each game (complete with radio remotes and tv coverage) and I'm working on fan busses for out of town games. If you want more info, Augusta Colt 2, you can contact me either here, on MY myspace (I'm friend #3 on the Colts' myspace) or through the Colts office. 706-828-6820 :smileycolts:

There will also be several get togethers planned through out the year of fans. They should consider one. Its a little extra revenue and with that you can get the players some of the extras they might need. All thats needed is someone trusted and reliable to run it. Not any burden on the front office either in time or money.

so is it better to be sponsored by the team or to be an idependent fan club? IMO, best to have a team owned club rather than go thru all the paperwork & outta pocket costs with the self owned.
