Wow, talk about a hardcore sports fan. I thought I was, but you sir (slocoma) take the cake. I love the games, but there's nothing wrong with the Chillers. Lighten up and enjoy the show.

Dont 4get all the promotional events our girls do for our teams as well. Not too forget their weekly practices. They play a vital role in the success of their respective teams organizations. IMO, they get very little recognition considering all the hard work they do and the time they sacrifice to attend promotional events with no pay...........

Well, I like hard nose football. Here's a list of NFL teams that don't have cheerleaders: Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers Sounds like the who's-who of old school football to me.

That list is just the NFL.
Cheerleaders have been a part of football for a very long time. Every level of football has cheerleaders up to, and in some cases, including the pros.
As far as Arena football goes, I think that every team in every arena location has cheerleaders, so it is part of the game.

Yes, you do have "Scoop Guy". It amazes me how little we talk about him in the MB. Might have to utilize the "Sccopster" for the Canton/Erie game. LOL

My old left side message on the old AIFL boards was "Scoopguy's a pimp." Besides that, there was not much mention of him. One time, I kept one of his scoop balls (eww) or whatever the heck those were, and he started to get pretty mad, so I threw it back down cause I didn't want to get my butt kicked.
As for the more important cheerleader issue, I'm pretty sure that the NFL teams without cheerleaders are pretty gay, and I really don't like any of them. Being a fan of the only team in the NFC North that actually has cheerleaders (Vikings), I can honestly say that I despise each and every team that doesn't have cheerleaders, with the exception of the Jets. I think cheerleaders add to the atmosphere of a game, and give you something to look at when your team is burning your eyes with its play on the field. Also, cheerleaders are often involved in community service projects and things of that nature, so I think they are nice for teams to have.

I am happy to say that i talked with both our Steam Team directors and they would be into doing a battle of the dance teams. In fact, they even suggested that some fans/fanclub members get involved in a tug of war too. I didnt even have to bring the subject up. They expressed an interest in going up against Erie, Johnstown. It would obviously have to be a Northern Division team. Both our directors danced for either the Eagles and Sixers and heather, who danced for the Eagles, said they did a similar thing with the NFC East divsions teams cheerleaders. I say we coordinate and go for it. Is anyone else seriously in?

As we get closer to the season and we see a schedule, I think this is something that is definitely doable. I've got to see a schedule first before I plan anything though. Great to hear the enthusiasm from the Steam Team. Every now and then I have to watch that video from the conference championship game.

Trying to divert off of the main subject to the secondary subject, NFL teams without cheerleaders are 10-15. If it wasn't for the Bears, they would be 6-15. There is the proof, cheerleaders makes teams play better. Besides, why do rivals like the Jets/Giants, Browns/Steelers, and Bears/Lions/Packers want to be stuck in a minority group with all of the other rivals?
Back to the main point, a dance team battle would be frickin sweet. This coming from a hormonal 16-year-old male, rather than a 40-year-old virgin as slocoma described the target audience.

I say let the two dance teams play a game of flag football at halftime. Kinda like Lingerie Bowl.
