In regards to the post that was locked what is that guy thinking? Lets get this straight, the Armor and Mariners have never played and this guy is on a sad personal mission to drag Baltimore through the mud. Those who are in glass houses should not throw stones. D.C is arguably the worst team in the AIFA, and that is coming from an Armor fan. So who ever you are stop trying to drum up bad blood where there is none. D.C and Baltimore is nothing more than a friendly rivalry.

Oipheroes on behalf of the Mariner Maniacs the Fanclub for the Baltimore Mariners, I want to thank you for your post, i know we havent played and there is an fan that is trying to start ww3, Why who knows. This is the worst thing in the world rather trying to joke around or be serious someone should do this is why things happen in this world and people get in fights or worse, cause of folks like this. Im sure he probably hasnt even been to a Armour game either. I just wanted to thank you again for your comments and can't wait to play you guys soon.

I feel as if I did not adequately explain myself, and for that I apologize. For the past two years, I have been a diehard fan of the Chesapeake Tide of the CIFL. My love for the Tide has encouraged me to pursue a degree in Sport Management. I am currently enrolled in a Sport Media Management class, and as a project, had to start and maintain a sports blog. While my classmates covered the Lakers and the NFL draft, I decided to focus on Indoor Football. Although I, and many of you love indoor football, we all have to admit it's kind of silly in many ways. No matter how you look at it, it is probably the lowest form of professional sport in the country. Heck, I painted my chest for every Tide game last year, and in 2007, drove to Bethlehem, PA instead of going to the beach to see the Chesapeake Tide play the Lehigh Valley Outlawz. If you cannot see the humor in that alone, then you are taking the AIFA way too seriously.
But back to the blog. I thought it would be funny if instead of analyzing the Yankees, I picked a sports team that no one has heard of, and blamed every one of Baltimore's problems on their existence. In no way, shape, or form and I trying to start a fight over indoor football. It is this level of involvement, which I too am a part of, is prime material for satire. Believe me, I am not trying to start ww3. I am not trying to bring anyone down, or cause any fights. I'm simply making fun of minor league sports.
If you stop looking at this as a serious blog, and instead look at it as The Onion, you will see the humor in the fact the Armor and Mariners have never played, yet I'm yelling that the Armor, one of the worst franchises in the AIFA, is better than the Mariners in every way. You will see what's funny about Mariners having fans so dedicated that they take a blog written by a college student in Florida to be a way of picking a fight and starting ww3. That alone could be a blog post in itself.
I have received messages on this board and on Facebook from Mariner employees and Mariner Maniacs praising my blog. In fact, one Maniac found it so funny, he wrote a guest piece, which hopefully will be the first of many more to come.
And finally, oipheroes said I probably have never seen a game. This is true, as I am away from home and will not return until mid-May. But if you wanna come find me then, I'll be the kid with a silver and black letter painted on my chest, for every game, home and away, yelling at the top of my lungs for one of the worst teams in the lowest level of professional sports. If you can't see what's funny about that, or what's funny about AIFA team fan clubs or even the AIFA as a whole, maybe you should reevaluate what it means to be fan in this league.
Go Armor.

OK... I am here to set some facts right... I met Fthe last year at the Tide games... he and his group were crazy football fans even when the team sucked and ownership was no where to be found... but nearly every game the painted thier chests and continued to root for the Team... This year I went from the Tide to the Mariners and I talked to Fthe during the off season... He said now that DC has a team he will follow them and can't wait to see the Mariners play as well... This guy is a true fan of the sport! I read his blog for the off-color humor... sure it is at the expense of the Mariners but still funny stuff. Coach Simpson never ran naked across the field because he went insane but I would pay money to see that! :-) He even jokes about the Mariners naming the team after the arena (1st Mariner Arena) and pokes fun of DC Armor (playing at the DC Armory).
His stuff is good if you take everything good natured. To be honest you could take his bloggings and take a script to it and it would read like "Semi-Pro" or any other Will Farrell movie!!
His writing are good for marketing and promotions as well. He has created a rivally between to very close teams that I am sure 1 or 2 people might wanna pay to see those games just to see if he is right.
It's all in good fun... Don't get me wrong, he is a dick talking about my beloved Mariners... but he is ok in my book.
I would like to see a blog about how much better Baltimores On-Field MC is over the DC On-field MC! :-)
and congrats to DC for beating Harrisburg... I like them even less!!

I think it is pretty friggin' funny. Sure, it is over the top and insulting, and goes against the grain, but the guy makes it clear it is all in humor. The fact that he claims AIFA is the lowest rung of pro sports, then claims he loves the DC Armor should be a clue that this is all a fun joke. Let's lighten up a bit.
What part was about me Clary?

ok, so I talked to this guy about 2 weeks ago when his blog was first brought to my attention......I read what he wrote, got a little aggravated, then I started paying more attention to his level of sarcasm, creativity, and outstanding sense of humor.....more importantly, considering I started college as a Journalism Major many years ago, I developed an appreciation for his ability to capture all of our attention......if his school project was to capture his audience, the he deserves the Pulitzer Prize, or whatever it is the give to the best writer!!!! It's a joke.....he even says it's a joke.......if I thought he was serious, I would have hunted his ass down myself by now, and we wouldn't be having this conversation..........let's try to appreciate him for what he is capable of doing, despite not liking his topics of choice. Now more importantly, as I have not read his blog in two weeks, has he mentioned anything about Reading getting their ass handed to them not only by the team, but by the Maniacs as well? Now that's a story worth reading, no pun intended
