Lions Join Kissin' 4 Kids and Children's Miracle Network
November 3, 2008 (COLUMBUS, GA)- The Columbus Lions coaches, players, and staff will be volunteering their time this Thursday and Friday to assist with the Kissin’ 4 Kids and Children’s Miracle Network Radio-a-thon. The Radio-a-thon will be seeking donations to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network at the Columbus Regional Medical Center. “The thing that sets CMN apart from other national charities is that every dollar they raise stays in our community to help children treated at The Medical Center and I am honored they asked us to be a part of their event,” said Head Coach Jason Gibson who will be manning the phone lines on Friday morning. Joining Gibson will be Lions’ players and Managing Partner, John Hargrove.
The Lions hosted a Children’s Miracle Network Fundraising event at their last home game of the 08’ season, which featured a compelling story told by Kameron Paige. Kameron was a patient at The Medical Center who received life saving care that was made possible by the Children’s Miracle Network.
