Lions become water boys for a day October 24, 2008 (COLUMBUS, GA)- The Columbus Lions were on hand to support their Partners in Education, Harris County Carver Middle School, as they took on Fort Thursday evening. Wide receiver Gerald Gales, and Quarterbacks Joey Conrad and Matt Makaryk were the designated water boys as the Tigers went on to defeat Fort 32-18. "It was great to be on the sidelines and in the huddle offering the kids support," said Gales, "it is also equally rewarding for us to be role models out there and to have the kids ask us for tips and pointer during the game."
