Lions Announce “Heart of a Lion Fundraising Program”
September 24, 2008 (Columbus, GA)- The Columbus Lions are proud to announce a new program that provides an opportunity for schools in the Chattahoochee Valley to obtain a portable AED for their schools. A brand new Phillips AED will provided to every school that participates in the “Heart of a Lion Fundraising Program” which will require the school to sell a minimum of 100 Flex Packs. The Phillips Heartstart Onsite AED, requires zero training and gives clear voice instructions to guide the responder through each step of the defibrillation process from putting on the pads to delivering a shock.
The onset of portable defibrillators have single-handedly taken the life saving measures of the defibrillator out of the domain of the emergency room and onto the sidelines to help fight the sudden onset of cardiac arrest. In the “Heart of a Lion Fundraising Program,” it is our goal to be able to help provide every school in the Chattahoochee Valley a portable Phillips Heartstart Onsite AED.
For more information please contact the Lions at (706) 322-336 or email jeff@columbuslions.net.

The Lions are strong on and off the field. This is an example of them giving back to the community.
They have won the respect of the local people by being an intregal part of the community.
At this level it takes more than 5 months of football games. It takes 12 months of being totally focused and totally dedicated to the business of football

I just hope the South gets straightened out so they dont get killed with travel expenses. I'd hate to see a solid team leave the league.

Ok ,so after computer problems and then a wreck, that pretty much finished it the rest of the way off, I am finally legit again with a brand new PC!
Thanks for keeping it updated here Gene. I am just glad all the issues happened in the off-season.
Glad to see all the improvements that the Lions are doing. I've got some catching up to do on the rest of the league but hopefully that past few 'aifa weekly' epsisodes will catch me right up.
