No question.......we have lost some pretty good ones recently.......Jim McKay & Dick Schaap come to mind(I know they are more sports related, but what can I do I am a sportscaster).......I had a chance to meet the great Ernie Harwell a couple of years ago in Cleveland, what an honor......enjoy the greats while they are still here

As someone breaking into the field....Tim was one of the best and one broadcaster in the News I actually liked.
Needless to say I'm a bit stunned at this news.

I'll admit i never made a point to watch his show but more than once while flipping thru the channels i stopped to listen to him speak. He was a very gifted and knowlegable person. He'll not only be missed by his colleagues but also by the rest of us.
