Augusta is in trouble rathe threw 6 picks in a game last year to our db larry thompson in lakeland last year...... Start Believing in the phantoms guys............... Mike threw those pics in a game LAST YEAR. He also threw for eight touchdowns on two occaisions for the Spartans last year, so let's not get carried away with the stats of one game. Here's the rundown on Florence: The Phantoms have beaten Canton, a replacement Huntington team, Florida twice, and Fayetteville twice. That's six wins against sub-par opponents. They are also the only team in their division with a record over .500. They have quality wins over Erie and Columbus, but anybody can win the lottery. On paper, they aren't much to be afraid of. Anyway, back to the Colts, I'll be at the game on the 21st and I hope to see more full seats than I've seen the other times I've been there this season. You guys have just under two weeks to hype the game, make it count. |

Augusta this year has played super in one game, sub par in another and back to good in another. When Augusta has played their A game they look unstoppable when they play like they did the first of the year against Columbus in Augusta they were flat.
Augusta played Columbus tight in Columbus and were white washed by the Mudcats twice. The loss to the Guard was because Rathe was still doing his other job and Anthony Young, Marvin Stone were hurt in the middle of the game.
On paper even with Stone out Augusta is very good.
It wont take much for the Colts to get fired up for this one as its a annual tradition. This will be a good game ill be in town all day Saturday in Florence for this game.

your breakdown is awful on paper we are the real deal let's see:
we have the second rated passer in the aifa(jacobs)
we have the 2nd leading receiver in yards (bennett)
the leader in Interceptions Larry thompson
our backup qb was the starting qb on the championship team last year
we have the top ranked pass defense in the league I could go on and on
and by the way the mudcats beat us by one point after we lead the entire game...we are the real deal it's a great story here in florence
I know that seems strange too many but oh well see ya sat nite

I'll tell you the same thing I told the Wyoming fans. Of course your stats look good, you've been playing terrible teams. I would probably be third in the league in passing if I had played against some of the defenses that the Phantoms have seen.
And your almost win against the Mudcats was still a loss. There's no such thing as a moral victory.

gonzo u must be a phantom hater first off we play whose on the schedule so save that tired ass phrase of we played bad defenses
we've played the mud cats,Erie and Columbus the original Huntington team and i used the mud cats as an example of us being right there i don't do moral wins...whose your team better yet be in Florence on sat and see for yourself...

Columbus has the 14th ranked defense in the league!
I don't hate ya i'm just sayin they are really suffering on Defense. Omar has played the most games at QB this year in the league. Cool! It looks like he's behind Strand and Jones as far as effeciencey but it's kind of a hard call since there hasn't been a complete season yet. Strand And Jones should be there at the end of the season and record the same amount of games played so We'll see! he's good no doubt

My young Phantom friend what I lack in breakdown on paper I make up for on the field. I have a semi pro football team that would hang with the Phantoms. Yes, you have talent and have a great year but this ones going to be close. I say again the follwing.
Any team can be beaten on any given night regardless of record or whatever. The Mudcats are not perfect and neither is anyone else.
Augusta when they are on top of their game can hang with anybody. If Augusta plays up to their potential this thing will be a battle to the last few minutes. Augusta will have no problem getting up for this game. If Stone was healthy you and I wouldnt be talking about any of this. You could cover him all night and we would burn you with our number two and three wideouts.
Augusta lost to a really bad Guard team and showed very little in their loss to Columbus the first game of the season.
Pound per Pound line for line Augusta plays in a tougher divison than you do. If Augusta was in your divison they would have no more than 2 losses right now.
Ralph Pac Man Scott will be collecting Phantom footballs for Augusta all nite long. Mr Ralph is on loan from the Georgia Ragun Bulls which could destroy the Phantoms on their own and hang with half of the AIFA. Ill back that up you dont want to hang with JC and crew come the fall.
Its going to be fun

I have one word for u with the semi pro stuff and the outdoor game
Omar threw for 445 yards vs Wisconsin on national TV what do u think he would do too your semi pro secondary...........no disrespect but please stop...add 145 yards vs the Carolina panthers his rookie year in
preseason...let that debate go far away oh and by the way see this weekend

Hmmm think Semi Pro football teams are weak not respectable I can get together a team of 25 of the best Semi pro players in the area and hang with Florence could beat them with the Carolina Express.Talented are not is all about size, speed, and sharpness and timing. Learned that from my high school days arena ball is about playing calling, staying up on somebdy playing them solid for the whole game.

I don't know if I'd call myself a Phantoms hater, I just think it's funny that your team has been a bottom of the dookie barrel team for years and you finally have one season where your record says you've been a decent team, and you're all ready to order rings. As tired as the phrase is, it doesn't change the fact that you've played sorry teams. Carolina sucks, Fayetteville sucks, Florida sucks, and Canton sucks (for real this time). You did play the original Huntington team, and they beat you like a drum. The time you beat them in Florence, the squad was made up of scrubs. You did beat Erie and Columbus, but the Lions have battled injury all season long. Numbers certainly don't lie, they say exactly what I said. The Phantoms stats are inflated because they have played against bad teams. You ask who my team is.....Well, I don't have one team because I like to be able to talk trash wherever I see fit. It's kind of a nice pet to have. I also don't think I'll be driving to Florence this weekend, and I don't imagine too many other people will either. |

hardly we play whose on the schedule...we have a new organization lead by a new regime so i could care less about what has happened
