How Far Can JaMarcus Russell Throw?

People put a lot of emphasis on Russell's arm strength, and for good reason. It is not his only attribute that is worth admiring, however.

Anyways, many people ask "How far can he throw?"

The answer isn't really known exactly. But, with the money he is worth, he probably shouldn't try to find out just in case.

At his pro day in 2007, he mentioned that the farthest he had thrown it was about "83 or 84 yards". However, he didn't measure it and that was how far he had thrown it - not how far he could throw it.

Here is a video of JaMarcus throwing the ball very far. But, again - we are not given a measurement.

So, to spark interest in the Raiders:

How far do you think he could throw it. Do you think any QB, past or present, could throw further than him?

Personally, I think he can get about 90 yards and I do not think anyone matches his arm strength.

84 yds is far but he isnt wearing shoulder pads either so i doubt he could do this under game conditions. I know ex Eagles QB Randall Cunningham could chuck a ball pretty far but i dont have a number handy as to his longest throw. But i think it was 90 yardsagainst the Bills & i am not referring to the Cunningham-Quick play either.

He has plenty of accuracy. Just look at his college stats.

In his only NFL start, he completed 74% of his passes against San Diego.

Of course it is only one start. I'm just excited to see his career play out.

The whole Raiders team looked horrible. The play callin was even bad. Jamarcus runs like he has a load of sh1t in his pants. Lets hope this was just an off night for the whole team. If not i agree, its gonna be a looonnngg season.....
