From the Reading Eagle news services
Darnell Kennedy threw for five touchdowns and rushed for another to help the Huntington (W.Va.) Heroes upset the visiting Reading Express 50-41 Saturday night in the American Indoor Football Association.
The Express (8-3) battled from behind all night until Rob Flowers ran 12 yards for a touchdown late in the third quarter to give Reading a 33-28 lead.
But the Heroes (6-5) answered with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Kennedy to Troy Perry and scored a 2-point conversion to regain the lead. An interception return for a touchdown padded Huntington's leadto 44-33 with 6:48 left.
Reading pulled within two points on a 10-yard touchdown pass from Flowers to Shawn Foxworth and a 2-point conversion.
After the Heroes fumbled the ensuing kickoff, Reading had a chance to regain the lead. But the Express passed on a 33-yard field goal try that could have given them the lead and failed to convert on fourth down with 1:11 left.
Two plays later, Kennedy threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Octavius Day to end Reading's five-game winning streak and end the Heroes' four-game slide.
Flowers threw five touchdown passes, three to Carmelo Ocasio.

Personally it may be a good thing that we were upset. I think that it actually helps us out as we head into the playoffs. You have to lose sometime. Look what happened to the Patriots. I think that it will also help the team sharpen on some of their skills.

Last night we just got our jocks handed to us, plain & simple. The hungrier team won. Bob McCool said our game plan was more on the "defensive" side of the ball and in some cases it worked but giving up that TD with 6 secs to go b4 the half was a killer and as i understand it there was shotty attempts to tackle on that play too.
In order to win the division and have atleast homefield in the 1st round we'll have to win 2 out of 3. If we can at the very least split with Erie and beat Baltimore we'll be ok. God help us if we have to travel down south, lol.

"You have to lose sometime" You have lost sometime (3 times) and if your not careful you will lose to many times. It's not like the team was undefeated.
