So we found out this weekend that there DEFINITELY will be a new team in lakeland next season....now there is still a possiblilty that it will be the LAKELAND THUNDERBOLTS, but the new owners will have to talk to the old owner BOB, to see if he will relenquish the name so they can use it, or they may just have to use the county and then THUNDERBOLTS ( polk county thunderbolts) if they still want to be the thunderbolts.......but the main reason i bring this up is to ask the fellow fans of the AIFA----what would be a good name for the new LAKELAND franchise?  i have some ideas but i want to see how creative this board is, i know there are great minds in here so use them to give lakeland a new name! |

How about the Lakeland Gators. Or the Lakeland Hurricanes. I know both are college names but both fit. Maybe the Lakeland Mavericks or the Lakeland Shockers. Lastley, the Lakeland Warriors or Renegades.

Lakeland Lightning is more like it all that damn rain and lightning down in florida. But the team should to be good team unlike the stingrays. The league is just beating up on the stingrays because we all love the crocodile hunter lol...
