Everyone knows taking a QB in the first round and surrounding them with high expectations is very risky. With Russell missing training camp and most of the season last year, he is behind where he should be. He did get some playing time at the end of the season, finally making a start Week 17 in a loss to San Diego. How do you all think he will do this coming season? Here are highlights of his first start

He sure didnt help himself holding out as long as he did during his contract negotiations. If anything, he hurt the team more. Now its time to produce and earn all that money he wanted. Personally, i dont think he is the answer for the raiders but he could prove me wrong too...

Just wondering why you don't think he is the answer. Do you believe Brady Quinn would have been the better pick? Well homerism googles on Yes. Homerism googles off, it's too early to call. Neither have played much at all the jury is still out. Now onto the better pick: Joe Thomas. Glad you and Detroit blew it on this guy. As soon as Cleveland picked him I was going nuts with joy. The guy's a machine. He's huge, blocks well, and isn't in it for the money. The moment he said he's not going to the draft he's going fishing with his dad, I knew I wanted him to be a Brown.
