Highlights of my trip to Albany, GA on 4-19-08 to see my beloved Green Bay Blizzard for the first time since 2003. South Georgia Wildcats took it 55-48 in a thriller. I caught a football to boot! ***-website may not be available at times due to the large amount of people that have been viewing them. linky link

I had fun despite the final score. Caught a football and had free beer!!!
Now if my alternator didn't croak on me in Macon at 1am Sunday, it would've been even better!!!

Now that an odd looking arena. Thats a decent sized drive too! 227 miles from my front door to the barn in Albany. It was a very pleasant drive through the Georgia countryside, save for some raindrops here and there. But boy was that sun blasting in Albany! First time I ever got a tan in April. The Ray Charles statue across the street & down the block a bit was pretty neat. Everyone in Albany welcomed me with open arms and I will definately make a return trip in the future. Hopefully Green Bay comes back down south. The arena itself was clean and neat. Even in the bowels of the place. The cushions on the front row seats are not bolted down and got annoying after a while. Otherwise that was the only fault I found at the game. Even the drunks were cool with me being the enemy fan.
