We're attending our first Pirates game on Sunday. We were just wondering what time and what lots open early for tailgating. Can we tailgate (grill) in the red lots?

John, I cant believe you would come all that way to see this bunch of clowns try to play baseball. Save yourself some aggravation and go see the Indians. I work 50 feet from PNC Park and I wont go see them. They are terrible. But hey, if you like bad baseball, why not. It is a great park and the Phillies are always fun to watch.
But seriously, the lots closest to the stadium frown on tailgating and have no grill and tent signs posted. But there are a few lots near the elevated roadway that allow tailgating. Come early, stay late, lots to see around the park, lots of good resturants (I recomend Atrias at the park on 6th Street by the Clemente bridge. and the riverwalk. The Carnegie Science center is close too if you want to check that out. Have a balast.

Shh.... we're Phillies fans invading Pittsburgh. The grill isn't totally necessary... it's actually easier to just bring some hoagies or something. As long as they don't bug us about beer.

Beer is cool, hoagies and pre-made foods are cool too. You can park right in front of the park if you get there early enough. Have a ball man, a day at the park is always a good day.

PNC Park is a BEAUTIFUL stadium... sadly it houses a HORRIBLE team.

PNC Park is great. We sat behind home plate. It's really weird looking in the outfield at the the bridge (don't know which one it is). It looks like it's in the park.
