Big second half helps Columbus roll by Express
From staff and wire reports
Trailing 21-19 just before halftime, the Express (3-2) tried to take the lead. But Rob Flowers threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown to give the Lions (3-2) a 27-19 halftime lead. The Express scored just six points in the second half.
Reading took a 9-0 lead to open the game. Erik Rockhold sandwiched a pair of unos around a touchdown pass from Flowers to Jeff Willis. But quarterback Maurice Mullins threw three touchdown passes to rally the Lions, who also returned an Express fumble for a touchdown.
