I mean, c'mon people! Lakeland had nine wins, while Tallahassee and Mississippi had ten, and the league says the team with fewer wins is in first place? Well, Lakeland has ten wins now, but if the Titans and/or Mudcats win tonight, they'll both have eleven wins, but the league will say Lakeland has clinched the division? If Lakeland loses next week, they'll be 10-3, but the other two will be 11-3, but the league will say Lakeland's the winner? Do I make myself clear?

What's so hard to figure out here? While Lakeland may have fewer wins they are placed higher in the standings because of winning percentage. It's a technicality. Should Lakeland and Tallahassee end up with the same record Lakeland gets the tie breaker since their winning margin over the Titans was higher than the Titans win over them.

the games against Gulf Coast and Baltimore do not count in the standings. All teams are ranked on the same number of games (12).

Playing games that do not count is ridiculous you are either in the league or not! This is the dumbest thing that I have ever heard of. Lakeland is probaly the best team in the south, however it is not anyones fault that you have Baltimore in the South? ? Last time that I checked they are not in the south, and then the gulf coast whoevers.........Play the same amount of games and whomever has the best record in the end is the winner. Why even play the games if they do not count.

The GC and Bal. games show up on the league standing, but I do not believe they will not be counted in the playoff seeding. If I am wrong, sorry. That is the info I got earlier in the season from official sources. Of course, the rules have changed a few times this season. If the games DO count in the seedig, It is not fair to seed based on uneven schedules.

All of these games that dont count turn an otherwise simple task of finding who the winner is into a horrible headache. :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats:

I posted this in another thread (AIFA discussion, Titans playoff game) No one told me I was wrong. Here is my take on it... The playoff situation in the South is tight. The top seed could still be Mississippi, Lakelandd, or Tallahassee. No one has got it, or the second seed, locked up. With the games agianst Gulf Coast and Baltimore no counting in the playoff picture, right now the standings are as such:
Lakeland is 8-2 (with 2 games left) Tallahassee is 9-3 (with no games left, that count) Mississippi is 8-3 (with 1 game left)
The final standings could be:
Lakeland (10-2) Tallahassee (9-3) Mississippi (8-4)
or... Well I'm not going to do al of them. I have to go to Wal-mart!
BUT the fun thing will be if all 3 end up with a 9-3 record!!!!
Lakeland is #1 because they own tie-breakers over Tall and Miss. Mississippi is #2 because they own the tiebreaker over Tallahassee. Tallahassee will be #3.
If I am wrong on any of this, please correct me. (like I need to type that!) I am not an expert and I quickly looked over the standings and schedules while my wife was trying to figure out why I won't get out of the house and get to Wal-Mart already!!!!
