THUNDERBOLTS TAKE ON DEFENDING CHAMPION CANTON LEGENDS
Posted: 3/5/07 The Lakeland Thunderbolts take on the defending league champion Canton Legends Sunday at 5:00 PM in the Lakeland Center. The Legends 4-0 this season has outscored their opponents 217 – 135. Both teams were off this past weekend. The Legends offense is lead by quarterback Kevin Mason (119-67-4) and Randall Love who has 28 receptions for 345 yards and 9 touchdowns. Lakeland 1-1 is lead by quarterback Aso Pogi who has been impressive in his first two starts racking up 462 yards passing. Receiver Octavius Day is leading the team with 18 receptions and 4 touchdowns followed by A.J. Bennett who has 15 receptions and 5 touchdowns.
This weeks game will feature a half time concert by Lakeland country singer J.C. Anderson. There will be a health fair with representatives from various county and community healthcare organizations, Girls Night Out a special promotion from Woman to Woman magazine and it is senior night with a special discount for those 62 and over. The doors open at 4:00PM

The Lakeland Thunderbolts (1-1) take on the Canton Legends this Sunday March 11 at the Lakeland Center. The game starts at 5pm, doors open at 4. Tickets start at $7.00.
Both teams are coming off a BYE week and are ready to play. “Coming off a BYE week, we’ve had an opportunity for he injured to heal, and a chance to work on timing,” said Lakeland Head Coach Teddy Keaton. But Coach Keaton is not the only one who spent the week off concerned about health and healing of the players. “[Coming off a BYE week] the team is healthy. Keeping the players from getting injured has been the most important thing to us for the past two weeks. Lakeland’s going to be our toughest test early in the season, so we need to keep them healthy,” said Canton Head Coach Bobby Olive.

I think the Legends are flying in on Sunday morning... I hope there's no delays with their flight.
