Reading Express GM/Head Coach Bernie Nowotarski announced today that he has signed former Reading High grad and University Of Pittsburgh standout Sam Bryant. Bryant was a 2 year starter at University Of Pitt as a defensive back. He played his High School football at Reading High. “Sam is very athletic defensive back at 6’ and 210lbs. He has exceptional speed and is another big hitter, a proto-type of what I look for in a Defensive Back” said Nowotarski. “Sam is another d-back that is in tune with the game, his instincts and intelligence on and off the field make him a special kid.” Off the field Sam would like to work with Juveniles. He has a strong local family support group and definitely has some other football talent in his family (James Bryant currently at Louisville). “Sam is just a big, strong, fast kid that’s loves to play football and I am definitely glad to see him coming home to play football in Reading in front of his friends and family and for the Reading Express” said Nowotarski Express players are reporting to Reading this week and our first team meeting will be Saturday night, when we all are going to the Sovereign Center to see our ECHL Reading Royals in action. Camp will start later that week at Grand Slam Sports Complex. Check out the Express website for practice and event information at www.expressindoorfootball.com.
