Former Muhlenberg HS and KU QB Signs with the Express
Reading Express GM/Head Coach Bernie Nowotarski signed former Muhlenberg HS and Kutztown University Quarterback Rob”Spanky” Flowers. Rob is a 6’1” 233 lb QB with many on-field talents. He can play QB, DB, WR, RB and LB if called on. “I was very impressed with Rob’s ability to play anywhere on the field. Being versatile in the indoor game is a huge plus and again I am thrilled to see more of our outstanding local talent getting involved with The Express” commented Nowotarski.
Also signing with The Express is now local resident Dan Lavia. Dan is originally from Ellenville HS in New York and played his college football for the Orangemen of Syracuse as a 5’10” 188lb receiver. Dan comes to The Express in hopes of becoming one of the many talented receivers on this year’s squad. “Dan showed up at our try-out two weeks ago and his performance caught they eye of several coaches, so we’re going to bring him and see where it goes from there” said Nowotarski. Dan is currently living in Reading and teaching in the Reading school district.
