Johnstown Riverhawks to Hold Final Tryout Prior to Camp
01/10/07 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) Johnstown RiverHawks
JOHNSTOWN, PA - The Johnstown Riverhawks of the American Indoor Football Association will hold their final open tryouts on Saturday, January 13th. The workouts will be held at the Indiana Ice and Expo Center, also known as the White Township Recreation Center at 497 East Pike, Indiana PA, 15701. Head Coach Steven G. Folmar and his staff are looking for local talent at the final Riverhawks tryout before the 2007 season, which will begin February 2nd. Players will be tested in the 40-yard dash, pro-shuttle and other agility drills. Later in the morning, all players will move to position specific drills.
The registration fee will be $65.00 for the tryout and all paid participants will receive a Riverhawks workout shirt. Registration is scheduled for 7:00 AM with testing beginning at 8:00 AM. At 10:00 AM, a few players may be asked to stay and join in a closed workout with players from the 2006 Riverhawks team and invited guests. Interested athletes should wear indoor shoes (no cleats), and dress for indoor workouts. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Kicking tryouts will be held by appointment only. The Riverhawks will open preseason training camp with players reporting on January 15th, and practices starting on January 16th.
