Freeze Players and Fans

Fans and former Freeze players,
I am sorry to hear that we will not be in the A.I.F.A next season. I hope we will be playing somewhere though. I am waiting to hear back from Mr. Hodas as to what is going to happen officially. For the guys that made it through last season I want to publicly thank you for your efforts through such a trying season. I firmly believe that you gave us all that you had. That was evident in the fact that we were in so many of our games. It most certainly the most difficult season I have ever been associated with, football aside. To loose a game is painful, it was the reasons we lost them that made it so frustrating. I am not here to bad mouth anyone. I believe the way you carry yourself speaks to your reputation, so to negatively speak of someone else only makes you look bad. Therefore I will not go there but I do want to say to everyone who supported us. THANK YOU. Our fans are solid. You guys showed up when we were winning and you were there when we lost. That is what a true fan does and it meant a lot to the players and coaches to see you all there cheering for us.
If there is a Freeze next year and if I am still a member of the staff I would like many of the former players back. Your desire not to return is completely understood though. I hope that we , together, can turn this thing around. I am not in a position right now to say either way if that will happen as I have yet to hear back from Mr. Hodas. In the event that there is no team I would be more than happy to contact any other team or league on your behalf and try and get you on somewhere else. I will always be there for those that have been there for me. I know it will be tough for Coach Arnold, at the moment he is currently in season in Kentucky. I will put together game films for you and get those out if you wish to take me up on this offer most of you have my number.
Again I want to publicly thank EVERYONE who supported the Erie Freeze players and coaches. You guys are the best and hopefully soon we will all know if there will be anything to cheer about next season. Any of you may feel free to contact me at

It really is sad to see hometown semi-pro teams not getting either the forum or the management to support their play.

There's a lot of tough untapped football talent out there, epecially in a tough hardworking town like Erie.

Paul, when the going got really tough, thanks for suiting up and taking some hits. You're a great coach. You'll all be missed.

You can't say enough about the caliber of players and coaches that put on the Erie uniform. EVERY single one of them is a class act.

I hope that someday in the future that we can take the field and again battle for a AIFA Championship!!!!
