Davey Hodas seems to think Arnold will be back next season but we'll see with Arnold accepting this new job.

Erie Freeze coach Dave Arnold's new job might not prohibit him from returning to the indoor football team next season.
Arnold has been hired as defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at NCAA Division II Kentucky Wesleyan College. Kentucky Wesleyan's news release on Arnold's hiring contained no mention of Arnold's association with the Freeze.
But Freeze owner David Hodas said Arnold's summer/fall position in Owensboro, Ky., won't necessarily bring an end to his time with the Freeze.
"Last time I talked to him was about 10 days ago," Hodas said. "At that point we discussed the future. Last year he was on a one-year contract, and everything was up in the air after that. I asked him what his interest was for next year, if he had an interest in coming back. He said that he did.
"The possibility definitely is there for him to come back. At this point we're kind of evaluating everything."
Arnold did not immediately return a phone call Friday afternoon.
Arnold, 42, has coached the Freeze since midway through the 2006 season, when he replaced Jerry Crafts. Erie went 1-13 this past season, tied for the worst record in the American Indoor Football Association.
Arnold also was an assistant coach at Gannon from 2003-06, but was among those not retained on staff when Bill Elias gave up his job as head coach to concentrate on his duties as athletic director.
Kentucky Wesleyan went 0-11 in 2006. The Panthers are coached by Brent Holsclaw, who was an assistant coach at Mercyhurst for five seasons until 2000.
"His playing collegiate and professional (football) plus his collegiate coaching experience will add that extra dimension that this program needs for success," Holsclaw said in a news release.
Arnold, a former star defensive back at Michigan, is one of two Kentucky Wesleyan assistant coaches with NFL experience. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Oilers from 1989-91. Defensive line coach Art Tolliver played for the New Orleans Saints from 1981-83.
