My friend Jim(chainguy) is still in the hospital. He may be out in one or two days. He broke his leg in three spots. Both bones under the knee. And sheared the nub off. They put screws in the nub. And installed a steel rod in one of his broken bones(faster heel time). He is looking at about six weeks off his feet. His wife doesn't work. And his other buddies at his work are looking into some sort of fund raiser for him.
We as the Erie Freeze Fanclub, will be giving the proceeds from our half of the 50-50 to him from the next home game.

Thanks for the update Joe.
If you find anything out about the fundraiser, please post. Maybe we could get a collection together as AIFA Fans?
Was he insured in any way through the league?

Latest Update.
50-50 tickets have been on sale, and will be on sale at the game Saturday. All proceeds will be going to Jim Wolf(chainguy). Except whomever wins the 50-50 of course.
We will draw 3 more names after the money winner. The second prize will be 4 seats to Erie's last home game(from Plastek). The third and fourth drawings will be for framed pictures of The Erie Freeze in action. Compliments of Picman. If I get any more donations, I'll add them.
As for Jim. He will be attending Saturday's game. And rumor has it that he will be running the game clock.
50-50
1st drawing.........half the money 2nd drawing........4 tickets to Erie vs. Mississippi game(Plastek) 3rd drawing.........framed pic of Freeze in action(taken by Picman) 4th drawing.........framed pic of Freeze in action(taken by Picman)

Joe, where do you purchase the 50-50 tickets at the game and when are the winners announced (for those of us that never buy 505-50 tickets)?

Am I correct Joe? And where is that? Right when you come in the front door? When I get in to the arena, the first thing I'm worried about is getting to our seats. I don't generally just walk around and look.

There will be fanclub helpers selling tickets outside the Civic Center. We will have them at the Fanclub table(1st table to the left when you enter). We will be selling them until the end of halftime. The winners will be announced probably at the end of the third quarter. These 50-50's are the ones that you write your name and phone number on. So, if someone isn't present. I can call them and tell them that they won.

Besides Jim the Chainguy, who were the winners tonight? I did not hear any names or numbers, except I heard over $400 was raised. Also, were the mini helmets drawn today?
Thanks

Jim Wolf's name was drawn for the 50-50.........he won $400.00
They announced the winners during the 3rd and 4th period. All winners got their prizes. I'll have to find the list of the peoples names.

Thanks Mini-helmets are going to be drawn at the May 26th game (Last home game). I put Jim's name down on my ticket just so he could get a chance at the other half of the cash. A lot of people did the same.
