FREEZE TO HOST EASTER “EGG-STRAVAGANZA”
Fans under 12 can attend April 7th game FREE!*
(March 28, 2007) Young football fans and their parents in the Erie area won't have to wait until Easter for a special visit from the Easter Bunny. As part of a special Spring Break promotion, the Erie Freeze of the American Indoor Football Association are offering fans 12 years old and younger a chance to earn a free* ticket to the Freeze's next home game on Saturday, April 7 against the Huntington Heroes at the "Igloo" in the Tullio Arena.
The promotion is part of the Freeze's Easter "Egg-stravaganza" where children 12 and under participating in the team's Easter Coloring contest only need to turn in their finished artwork to the Tullio Arena Box Office to receive a free ticket for the April 7th game. Participants are eligible for the free ticket when an adult or guardian purchases one regularly priced admission ticket.
All sections of the "Igloo" are eligible except the sold out "Freezer" section. In essence, on Saturday, April 7 an entire family can attend a Freeze game for under $ 15. One adult purchase must accompany each "family" unit for supervisory reasons.
Contest pictures have been delivered to local elementary schools, but coloring contest pictures can also be obtained and printed via the internet at www.eriefreeze.com. Fans can also obtain a coloring page by stopping in the Freeze office at 110 East 8th Street during normal business hours or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Erie Freeze at 110 East 8th Street; Erie, PA 16501 postmarked by April 4.
The entries will be judged by Freeze and media personnel and will be eligible for prizes including an official AIFA game football. There are categories for Boys and Girls ages 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12.
The game is also billed as the Erie's most "Egg – Stravagant" Easter Egg Hunt where children will be eligible to win prizes the entire evening courtesy of our Chillers Dance Squad.
Log on to www.eriefreeze.com for more information. Entries can be redeemed until kickoff time at the box office on April 7. Free ticket offer must accompany voucher and or contest entry.
Freeze owner Dave Hodas remarked, "With spring break around and parents in need of something to do with the kids, we felt this would be a great way to introduce our young fans to the games. Just consider it an early gift from the Easter Yeti."
