Freeze thawed in Carolina The Erie Freeze traveled to Concord, North Carolina for the longest bus ride in team history. Unfortunately, even with the extended time available for team bonding, the result was much the same as recent games on the schedule. The Freeze fell to 1-5 on the 2007 season with a disappointing 40-29 loss to the expansion Carolina Speed on Saturday, March 24. Details of the contest are pending information from the AIFA League office. The Freeze will hit the road again with a Saturday, March 31 contest against the Danville Demolition. Despite recent frustrations, the Freeze remain only two games out of a possible playoff berth. Freeze owner Dave Hodas said, "Yeah it's been tough, but with the remaining schedule we have the opportunity to still hold our destiny in our own hands. The game in Danville is huge. With positive results, we can still hop right back in the race." The Freeze return to the Tullio Arena on Saturday, April 7 with a life or death game against the Huntington Heroes. Children under 12 can receive discount tickets with the purchase of an adult ticket and arrive early to join us for our Easter Eggstravaganza! Children are encouraged to join in on the Erie Freeze Easter coloring contest. Please visit www.eriefreeze.com for more information.
