First I'll like to call on the refs at the game. They are so bad they can't even ref. a middle school game. I think its time to get a new group in here. Anyways, overall, the Freeze played pretty bad today. Sure, Riverhawks were held to 6 points for the longest time but soon a weakness was found in our D. The offense plan sucked untile Whitefiled took over. Defense: Like I already stated they played good till a weakness was found which was the middle. Receivers in the middle were almost always wide open for a good pick up or TD. Tackling was very bad to. Grade: D Offense: Made me want to barf. Bad throws, bad catches, bad everything. Things improved when Whitefield came in (and caught up on the score board) but even he threw some bad balls like the last one that was picked off. We were in FIELD GOAL range behind by TWO points. Play it safe with the ball. I'm not saying don't throw it but if all guys are covered, either run with it or throw it away. Try for the field goal. Grade: F Special team: Seemed a little shaky on the kicks. He's getting the distance but needs to work on his accuracy when trying for the UNO. Kick coverage sucked. C- Hopefully the Freeze take the bye week to relax, regroup, and come back strong against the Express.

Officiating was pretty bad for this game, but the was also a large number of stupid penalties being taken by the Freeze. This team is so lacking in discipline it is ridiculous. They need to take care of business first before they can swagger s much as they do.
Can we officially say that the Randall Secky experiment is over? It's obvious he's not the answer at QB. His variation on the Statue of Liberty Play, where he essentially invited the Riverhawks to take the ball, and put the game away, was the final straw. Unfortunately the final straw should have come a quarter earlier when he obviously thought he was throwing to twelve foot tall receivers. Sure, he had a lot of drops by receivers tonight, but the majority of throws were just sailing away.
Darmell Whitfield did a pretty capable job getting the Freeze even close in this game. He made a couple of bad passes, but still moved the ball. Before he came in our biggest play from scrimmage was one where the Riverhawks made two personal fouls and the refs counted off 20+ yards. The drop in the end zone late was heartbreaking to watch. They really need to give Whitfield the chance to start. The whole "he's too valuable as a receiver" argument is only valid if you have somebody at QB that can get him the ball.
Both teams' kicking games were sadly lacking. If McNicholas could have made a few PATs, or be trusted to make a field goal occasionally, we'd be discussing the Freeze's latest win. Too many out of bounds kickoffs didn't help either -- nothing like giving the other team a thirty yard field to work with to get their offense going.
Good game Hawks -- you held it together just enough to get the win. Kudos to Quinteen Robinson. He had a pretty good game and just made defenders looks silly at times despite being obviously banged up.
Things don't get any easier with Reading rolling into town either. Hopefully the coaches can put the bye week to good use and get the Freeze headed in the right direction.

Agreed to the refs. And also I'd like to to Randall Sucky He has played bad everytime I've seen him I'm sick of it how was he a D-1 Qb He's horrible. All the fans around me were ripping on Whitfield and I turned to the dude next to me and yelled wow whitfield 3 tds 1 int a lot better than sucky what 3 ints and 1 fumble with no tds but ya i'd rather play sucky too and I didn't hear a peep outta them again. Overall I like how the team responded with Whitfield in and I hope he'll be playing QB in 2 weeks.

Yea, Jerry Springer is our ref now. Talking to him on Sunday. It looks like all the refs are going to be based near to their hometowns. It will form some kind of consistancy having the same people. With the exception of Baltimore and Danville. Apparently no one, ref wise, are in those areas. So, they volunteer themselves for those games as well.

Now all you need is Hugh Heffner then your all set for a perfect ref staff.
