Dave Hodas, owner of the Erie Freeze of the American Indoor Football Association, released the following statement today concerning a report included on an internet site of a fledgling Indoor Football team.
Hodas said, “It has come to the attention of our organization that the Erie Freeze has been misrepresented on the website of a regional indoor football team. The story implies that the Freeze contacted this team about the prospects of participating in a $10,000 winner take all game.
At this moment, as has been in the past and will continue in the future, the entire focus of the Erie Freeze is on winning the American Indoor Football Association championship and representing the City of Erie in the best possible manner. The Freeze in no way condones or are part of this conversation.
It is regretful that the “coach” of this “team”, a self professed con man as announced in an ESPN interview included on the team’s website, would use this publicity stunt as another ploy in one of his well documented history of bizarre self promotional charades.”
