Demolation overall looked like a decent team early but started making mistakes once the Freeze took over. Their QB looks decent, got rid of the ball when needed and not easy to take down.
Slow start to the Freeze D but that could be due to no footage on the Demolation to study. The D held Demolation to one TD in the 2nd half. A
Kicking game was not has bad has last week (he did make some extra points tonight). Would like to see a uno and a FG attempt to get down the field to the goal posts. B-
QB Secky still has some growing to do but he performed much better tonight then last week. I think he had 2 ints and threw for all but one TD and ran one in. He still missed open receivers and made bad ints. B-
Offense line good has usual. A
WR did their job for the most part but some easy passes were droped. B+
Would like to see less flags though. The first half seemed to be nothing but flags flying. And could we get rid of this ref and his team? Him and his team did make some pretty bad calls (defense pass interference whe the WR ran into him was very bad call).

The Freeze looked a lot better than they did in Canton. Secky looked a lot more comfortable, though he still tends to hold the ball too long -- luckily he was getting some good protection up front. Secky lobbed the ball a few times that really cost him in interceptions, but he managed a pretty decent game; even running one in for a TD. Some of the WRs seemed a lot more into this game than they were last game and it seemed like the ball was getting to a variety of people.
The D started a little slow, but once they got going they really started to dominate. Some key interceptions and goal line stands meant the offense didn't have to be great to get the W. The D really brought the pressure, especially in the second half. By the end of the game, the Demolition QB just looked like he didn't want to be out there anymore.
Speaking of the end of the game, what was with the Freeze calling a timeout in the last minute. They were up by a bunch with less than one minute left. Run the ball, keep it in bounds and run out the clock. Instead they kept passing which stopped the clock on incompletions, and when they did run, the runner was tackled against the boards (out of bounds) and the clock stopped again! It just seemed like bad sportsmanship to try to run up the score when the game was well in hand and time was running out
If the offense can continue to improve and the D played like it did tonight, the Freeze should do pretty well this season. Time will tell if this was a case of erie being a far superior team, or of Danville being an expansion team still trying to work things out.
The crowd turned out to be pretty decent for the game (I'd guess somewhere around 2500-3000 butts in seats). The Freeze continued their three year tradition of cranking the music to mind-numbing decibels between every play so that not only couldn't you hear the person next to you, at times you couldn't hear the PA announcer reading promo spots.

my ears are bleeding, is that bad?
After my ear drums ruptured, the music was bearable. For the love of God, just turn it down. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Freeze started off slow, but that's the Freeze. 2 big stands at the 1 yard line showed that the guys on the D-line are tough as nails. Considering the QB and RB for Danville aren't small by any means.
Secky needs to stop locking onto receivers then lobbing the ball. He did that a few times tonight. But all in all, he played a much better game than in Canton.
McNicolas the kicker also did a lot better kicking tonight.
The defense is our saving grace.

I'll agree the music got loud at times last nite. The troubles with CJ was caused by a Half-A$$ed microphone or the PA system, I believe it was the latter since our favorite referee Jerry Springers' mic was also cutting out A LOT !!!

The PA system was very bad (looking at you civic center authority). Hopefully it gets fixed before March 4.
Also the field is in wrose condition this year then last.

If you guys knew what that field looked like at noon yesterday, and then how it looked at game time you'd be amazed. There were MANY problems with turf yesterday, some that can't be fixed without a complete replacement. But we went above and beyond the call of duty to make the field at least playable. This issue is soon going to be the teams single biggest hurdle to overcome as to the long term success of this franchise. But I understand that some of the "fixable" issues will be addressed this week. Stay tuned...

Is this the same turf since the first year? and the old Invader turf, right?
Wow. I'd say it's about time to be replaced.

the field was o.k., i have seen worse, but where we were siting i saw a spot where there was concrete showing.. and i saw a bunch of patches it was pretty bad..
the music was WAY WAY to loud you couldn't even hear the emcee what he was saying at sometimes, or even talk to the person next to you.
and the pa system is a joke, right from the beginning it was messed up with the emcee and the refs... they gotta get those things fixed
everythign else was good

The fanclub were temporary field maint. peeps yesterday. The painters finished painting some of the turf around 2 ish. We put a torpedo heater in front of it to dry it out. Otherwise, jerseys would have green, white, and blue paint all over them. Then, with the seams and bubbles. The fanclub taped down all the seams with thick tape used for wrestling mats. We were concerned for the players safety. Above and beyond the call of duty. Yes! And I like to thank Scooter and Fridge for helping out. I'm sure they are sore as hell from doing it yesterday. I am. But, that just shows what kind of dedicated fans Erie has.

I forgot to thank Mark too. He even took a line drive squib kick to the side of the head(Danville was practicing at the time). Laid him right out while we were laying the tape down.
