Well here we go again, I went to check to see if the "new" Freeze website had gotten up and running....and I found it is "Hacked"!!! This time it wasn't hacked by the "Mad Turks" and there catchy song, someone new is responsible for this one.... Perhaps someone with a real dislike for the current site and it's content....or lack of HMM....I can think of someones' name that comes to mind....

Yea, that's what I was thinking too. But I'm happy to report that the site is back up and has a headline article on Fridays' game in Canton with a complete scoring rundown. Hopefully this will shut up the negative individuals that continue to bash the Freezes' front office at every given opportunity. Of course they expect EVERYTHING to be done for their benefit, while not realizing the EXTREMELY LONG weekend the F.O. had getting the 07 campaign started. An EARLY MORNING START followed by getting everything ready for the bus, checking and filling the players equipment bags, checking in the new unis' that arrived at the office moments before we arrived there. Making sure the game roster was sent to Canton and the league office, then getting the bags loaded on the bus and then making sure all the players are there. Then getting the bus on it's way. Oh and then they had to go to the game (going out of their way 3 hours... I've been told),watching the game, going on the field afterwards, talking to fans and players from BOTH TEAMS. Then either driving home on spending the night in Canton(I'm not sure which they did). Then either sleeping in on Sat. or driving home. Then they probably took some time to get some non Freeze or personal stuff done. I don't know, are they allowed to do that? then on Sunday they're at the Millcreek Mall supporting the Fan Club and showing off the team and the Chillers to the fans of Erie to help kick off the home opener on Sat. WOW that's a lot, HUH? Then you have people who are upset that the website wasn't immediately updated and to their satisfaction. And some of these people drove 3 hours out of their way to see the game and they were upset that they couldn't read about it on the website as soon as they wanted too! They must have been spending too much time complaining about the Freeze and they missed sooooooo much of the game that they had to go home afterwards and read about it, but they got PI$$ED off when the article wasn't there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this time SCOOTER steps off of his soapbox.....

It would be different if this was the first time the site was hacked...

Seems to me you're making the case that they're understaffed or that they put everything off to the last minute. If you have a website, it's a burden to keep it up to date and not letting it go 'stale'. So be it. If they want a website, they must do the work for it. Making excuses doesn't seem to be in the best interest of the team. What else are they overworked and unable to do? Sykotyk

Also, Scooter, I don't think people are complaining about the site just for the sake of complaining...many are suggesting that a fan or 2 should be given the ability to edit the site so that Freeze personnel can work on more important stuff, such as pretty much everything you listed on your rant. The Legends site is going well under that direction...

Scooter, I know you guys have a thing for Rich and Pam, but the things you're describing are done by everyone. We all have to load the bus and drive to the game. We all have websites and for better of for worse, they are our "window to the world." Many people get all of their news/info from the web, since our teams don't dominate the local papers like the NFL does. I'm just saying, that post doesn't sound like your normal tone... I think you're letting someone get to you personally.

Though I wasn't actually mentioned by name by Mr. Blurr, I will just say one or two things about his soapbox commentary because they are obviously aimed at my previous posts.
When I criticized that fact that the score for the Freeze/Legends tilt was not posted, I specifically was criticizing the league (go find the post and read it yourself). I was commenting on the fact that the fans were doing a basic service (live scoring) that the LEAGUE should have been doing. I don't even remember mentioning the Freeze at that time. Was everyone at the league headquarters (if there is such a thing) busy loading buses too? There was only one game that night. Someone, somewhere should have posted a score where the general public could find it.
Later, in a completely different post I asked if the Freeze were waiting for the new site to be up before updating the roster, etc. In that post I mentioned that it might dismay some casual fans (who don't come to this forum ,and know that a new site is in the works) I knew the score -- I was there. I didn't need to read the story. I was thinking other people might not have known.
Other people have said worse and for some reason not touched the same nerve that I have. People have been slagging the league over AIFA-TV, called our QB "Sucky," and worse, but for some reason my comments bother you more. Is it my attention to spelling and close approximation of proper grammar that bother you? Is it my love for the Otters AND Seawolves in addition to the Freeze? (Does that make me polyamorous? I digress.)
Whatever, I don't need to explain myself any more. If you want to jump on anyone that dares to criticize the league and its teams, go ahead -- you'll be very busy. I'll be fine just as a fan going to the games. If you have something to say to me PM me, or email me, or whatever. People don't need to read any more of it in the public forum.
